Mrs. Stephanie Queen
Hi there! My name is Stephanie Queen, (like the Queen in the castle!) and I am your media specialist. The 2025-2026 school year is my 10th year here at Joyner, and my 16th year as a media specialist. I also utilize Makerspace lessons in my media class centers!
I received my undergraduate degree from Western Carolina University, and my Master's from East Carolina University.
I love being a librarian because I have always loved to read, and I love children's books and picture book artwork. My mission is to help every child find their new favorite book!
My favorite children's picture book is There Is A Bird on Your Head! My favorite chapter book is The Lightning Thief. I love to read fantasy books, science fiction books, world mythology, and folktales.
My class pet is Mango, the Library Lizard!
I live here in Greensboro with my husband, Justin, and my 6-year-old daughter, Fiora. We also have a dog! He is a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. His name is Angus, the boy detective!
