Welcome to the 2025-2026 school year.  We’re excited to kick things off with this year’s theme:
“It’s Game Time! Your Joystick, Our Journey. Every Individual Move Matters.”

Think of the year ahead like an epic video game: full of exciting challenges to conquer, new levels to unlock, and victories to celebrate. Every player, student, family, and staff member has a role to play. Just like in a great video game, success doesn’t come from one player alone.  It takes teamwork, strategy, and a lot of heart.  In the best games, the journey is most meaningful when faced together.  This school year, we’ll be navigating experiences, leveling up learning, and celebrating our collective wins with each of you holding the joystick that helps guide our students toward success.

Last year, our theme was “Stronger with Team”, and we grew stronger by leaning into unity, collaboration, and a shared vision. That same spirit continues to drive us forward this year. Now, as we shift into “game mode,” we are building on that foundation with strategy, intentional action, and meaningful progress.  It’s about intentional moves, thoughtful strategies, and building momentum, step by step, moment by moment.

As we press “Start” on this exciting year, let’s bring our energy, passion, and purpose. Know that we’re in this as a team, and together, we will create a school year filled with growth, pride, and power-ups for everyone.  Let’s be bold, be kind, and be ready to launch into the year strong as we remain committed to advancing our school’s mission: to create an environment where all children become self-directed learners, equipped with the academic tools and character needed to become successful, respectful, and contributing citizens.

At Joyner Elementary, helping students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally is at the heart of everything we do, and we know that achieving this requires the dedication of our entire community.  It takes teamwork and that means students, staff, families, and the community are all playing their part. We promise to continue fostering a collaborative and cohesive school environment, and we deeply appreciate your commitment to doing the same.  We promise to remain steadfast in strengthening the partnership between home and school and we look forward to working side by side with you to support every student’s success.
